Privacy Policy

Last updated: July 5, 2026

1. Introduction

This Privacy Policy explains how Helvino Technologies Limited ("Helvino Technologies", "we", "us") collects, uses, shares, and protects information when you use LOGOS Platform (the "Service"). It should be read together with our Terms of Service.

2. Information we collect

Information you provide directly:

  • Account details: full name, username, email address, password (stored as a salted hash, never in plain text), and optional phone number
  • Profile information: bio, avatar image, denomination, spiritual journey stage, country, timezone, and preferred Bible translation
  • Content you create: posts, status updates, prayer requests, comments, community posts, and direct/group messages
  • Communications you send us, such as support requests

Information collected automatically:

  • Login timestamps, device/browser information, and IP address (used for security, rate-limiting, and fraud prevention)
  • Basic usage data such as which features you access, for reliability and product-improvement purposes

Information from optional features:

  • Audio and video data while you are actively participating in a video call (not stored by us after the call ends)
  • Questions and conversation history you submit to the AI Assistant
  • Images or videos you choose to upload (avatars, post media, status media)

3. How we use your information

  • To create and secure your account, and authenticate you when you sign in
  • To operate core features: posts, prayer requests, communities, messaging, video calls, devotionals, and the AI Assistant
  • To send transactional emails (verification codes, password resets, welcome messages) and, if you opt in, notification emails
  • To detect, prevent, and respond to fraud, abuse, security incidents, and violations of our Terms
  • To improve the reliability, performance, and usability of the Service
  • To comply with legal obligations

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use your prayer requests, messages, or other content to train third-party advertising profiles.

4. Sensitive content: prayer requests and spiritual data

Prayer requests and related content can reveal sensitive information about your health, relationships, or beliefs. This content is visible to the audience you choose when submitting it (e.g., a specific community or the wider platform) and to platform administrators for moderation purposes. Please consider what you share and with whom.

5. Third parties we share data with

We use the following categories of third-party service providers to operate the Service. They process data only as needed to provide their service to us:

  • Cloud media storage: stores and serves images/videos you upload (avatars, posts, status)
  • Real-time communications provider: powers audio/video calls
  • Transactional email provider: delivers verification, password-reset, and notification emails
  • AI language model provider: processes the questions you send to the AI Assistant to generate responses
  • Infrastructure/hosting providers: host our servers and database

We may also disclose information if required by law, to protect the rights, safety, or property of LOGOS Platform, our users, or the public, or in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets (with notice to you where required).

6. Cookies and similar technologies

We use a small number of strictly necessary, first-party authentication cookies to keep you signed in securely (httpOnly, so they cannot be read by page scripts). We do not currently use third-party advertising or cross-site tracking cookies. Your browser may store a small amount of local data (such as a dismissed-banner preference) to improve your experience.

7. Data retention

We retain your account information and content for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we will delete or anonymize your personal information within a reasonable period, except where we are required to retain certain records for legal, security, or fraud-prevention purposes.

8. Your rights and choices

  • Access and update most of your profile information directly from your account settings
  • Request a copy of your personal data, or request deletion of your account, by emailing info@helvino.org
  • Opt out of non-essential notification emails from your notification preferences
  • Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have additional rights (e.g., under GDPR or similar laws) to object to or restrict certain processing

9. Security

We use industry-standard safeguards to protect your information, including encrypted passwords, encrypted connections (HTTPS), httpOnly authentication cookies, and rate-limiting on sensitive endpoints. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

10. Children's privacy

The Service is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact us at info@helvino.org so we can remove it.

11. International users

Our servers and service providers may be located in different countries than your own. By using the Service, you consent to your information being processed and stored in those countries, which may have different data-protection laws than your home country.

12. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we will ask existing users to review and re-accept the updated policy before continuing to use the Service, and we will update the "Last updated" date above.
